Consider taking a side trip to Jaipur, the "Pink City", known for its stunning palaces, forts, and markets. To maximize your fun, hire a local guide or join a group tour to learn more about the history and culture of the places you visit. Finally, don't forget to carry a hat, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes, as it can get hot and humid in September.
