3-Day Adventure Itinerary for Coorg, Karnataka and Netravathi Peak from Coimbatore

  1. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    5 hours (220 km) from Coimbatore

    In the morning, head to Abbey Falls, one of the most popular tourist spots in Coorg. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery and it is a breathtaking sight. Spend the afternoon trekking through the nearby coffee plantations, and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. In the evening, visit Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden surrounded by hills and valleys. The sunset view from here is spectacular.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 30 minutes (50 km) from Abbey Falls

    Start the day by visiting Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can get up close and personal with these gentle giants. Enjoy bathing and feeding the elephants, and even take a ride on their backs. Afterward, visit the Golden Temple, a beautiful Buddhist monastery with a stunning golden statue of Lord Buddha. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Nisargadhama, a beautiful island surrounded by the Cauvery river. In the evening, head to Mandalpatti, a scenic viewpoint with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

  3. Day 3: Netravathi Peak
    5 hours (200 km) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    Begin the day with a visit to the Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Spend the morning exploring the monastery and learning about its history and culture. In the afternoon, head to Netravathi Peak, the highest peak in Coorg. Enjoy a challenging trek to the summit and take in the stunning views from the top. In the evening, head back to Coimbatore for your flight home.

If you have additional time, consider visiting the Talacauvery, the birthplace of the Cauvery river. Also, make sure to sample some of the delicious local cuisine, such as Pandi Curry and Akki Roti.
