Two-Day Itinerary for Goa on Shoestring Budget in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Anjuna Beach
    1-hour drive (18.2 miles) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your day with a refreshing dip in the Arabian Sea at Anjuna Beach. You can also take a walk along the beach or relax under the palm trees. There are a few shacks where you can enjoy breakfast and coffee.

    Afternoon: Head to the Anjuna Flea Market, which is open every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can find a wide variety of items such as clothing, jewellery, souvenirs, and handicrafts. Don't forget to bargain!

    Evening: Visit the St. Anthony's Chapel, a beautiful church with a stunning view of the beach. You can attend the evening Mass, which starts at 7:00 pm. After that, head to one of the many beachside shacks for dinner and drinks.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2-hour drive (43.3 miles) from Anjuna Beach

    Morning: Wake up early and start your journey to Dudhsagar Falls. The waterfall is in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and is accessible by a jeep safari. The falls are a magnificent sight, especially during monsoon season when the water is at its fullest.

    Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch at the waterfall and take a swim in the plunge pool. You can also take a short hike to the top of the falls for an incredible view of the surroundings.

    Evening: On your way back, visit the Tambdi Surla Temple, which is one of the oldest temples in Goa. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and is a peaceful place to spend an evening. You can also take a short trek to the nearby Tambdi Waterfall.

Other local attractions you may want to consider include Calangute Beach, Fort Aguada, and the Basilica of Bom Jesus. If you have time, you can take a day trip to the beautiful beaches of South Goa or visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. To maximize your fun, try out some of the water sports available at the beaches or take a yoga class. For side trips, you can visit the neighbouring state of Karnataka or explore the Dudhsagar Spice Plantation.
