3-Day Bangalore Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Lalbagh Botanical Garden
    10 minutes (2.1 km) from city center

    Start your day exploring the lush Lalbagh Botanical Garden, a 240-acre park that dates back to the 18th century. The garden is home to over 1,000 species of flora and a glasshouse modeled after London's Crystal Palace. Afterward, head to MTR for an authentic South Indian breakfast. In the afternoon, visit the Bangalore Palace, a stunning Tudor-style palace with sprawling gardens and a museum showcasing the history of the Wadiyar dynasty. End the day with some retail therapy at UB City, a luxury shopping mall with high-end stores and restaurants.

  2. Day 2: Cubbon Park and Bangalore Fort
    15 minutes (3.6 km) from Lalbagh Botanical Garden

    Spend the morning strolling through Cubbon Park, a 300-acre park that is the lungs of the city. The park also houses the State Archeological Museum, the Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall, and the High Court of Karnataka. In the afternoon, visit the Bangalore Fort, which dates back to the 16th century and is a fine example of the city's rich history. Afterward, head to VV Puram Food Street for some of the city's best street food, including dosas, chats, and sweets.

  3. Day 3: Nandi Hills and Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace
    1 hour 20 minutes (60 km) from Cubbon Park

    Start your day early and head to Nandi Hills, a scenic hill station that offers breathtaking views of the city. Enjoy a cup of tea while watching the sunrise. Afterward, visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, which was built in the late 18th century and is an excellent example of Indo-Islamic architecture. In the afternoon, head to Brigade Road, one of the city's busiest commercial areas, for some shopping and dining. End your day with a visit to the ISKCON Temple, a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Recommendations

In addition to the above itinerary, consider visiting Ulsoor Lake, the Bangalore National Gallery of Modern Art, and the Innovative Film City, which is an amusement park with several rides and attractions. If you have more time, take a day trip to Mysore, which is 150 km from Bangalore and is famous for its palaces and museums. To maximize your fun, try taking a food tour or a cycling tour of the city. Remember to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated as July can be a hot month.
