Nature Lover's Itinerary: Mysore to Sakleshpura

  1. Day 1: Bandipur National Park
    2 hours 40 minutes (81.4 miles) from Mysore

    Start your day early and head to Bandipur National Park, known for its wildlife, dense forests, and scenic beauty. Take a jungle safari with a trained naturalist in an open Jeep, and spot tigers, leopards, elephants, and other animals in their natural habitat.     Start your day with a scenic drive to Bisle Ghat, a mountain pass located in the Western Ghats. The drive takes you through lush green forests, rolling hills, and picturesque villages. Stop at the Bisle viewpoint, which offers stunning views of the Yelaneeru Ghat, Pushpagiri Range, and Kumaraparvatha.

    In the afternoon, go for a trek in the Bisle Reserve Forest and explore the rich flora and fauna of the region. The forest is home to many rare and endemic species of plants, animals, and birds, including the Malabar trogon, Malabar whistling thrush, and giant Malabar squirrel. The trek takes you through dense forests, grasslands, and streams, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
