2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Shirdi in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Shri Saibaba Sansthan Temple

    In the morning, visit the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Temple, one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in India. The temple houses the samadhi (burial site) of the revered saint Sai Baba who is worshipped by millions across the world. Afternoon is a great time to explore the temple complex, which includes various shrines, auditoriums, museums and a library. Evening aartis (prayer ceremonies) are a must-attend here, the ambience is spiritual and serene.

  2. Day 2: Shani Shingnapur
    Distance from Previous Location: 70km (1.5 hours) by car

    In the morning, take a road trip to Shani Shingnapur, a village famous for its Shani temple. The unique feature of this temple is that it doesn't have any doors. According to the local legend, the village is protected by Lord Shani- the god of Saturn, and hence the temple doesn't require any physical security. Afternoon could be spent exploring the village and indulging in local food and shopping. Return back to Shirdi in the evening.
