Afternoon, explore the INS Khukri Memorial, a tribute to the sailors who lost their lives in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. In the evening, visit the Diu Fort, an ancient Portuguese fort that offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea.
Vanakbara is a small fishing village that offers a peaceful and serene environment surrounded by nature. Start your day with a boat ride to see the playful dolphins. Later, visit the Sea Shell Museum that showcases a vast collection of seashells from all over the world. Afternoon, visit the Gangeshwar Temple, a unique temple where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of five lingas that are partially submerged in the sea. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at the Chakratirth Beach and watch the sky turn into shades of red and orange.
Diu Pani Kotha is a historical landmark that served as a water reservoir during the Portuguese colonial rule. It has now been converted into a museum that displays the history of Diu and its cultural heritage. Afternoon, visit the nearby Nagao Beach and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Arabian Sea. In the evening, take a walk along the Diu Promenade, a beautiful pathway that runs along the sea and is lined with trees and streetlights.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Gomtimata Beach, Jallandhar Beach, Shell Museum and St. Paul's Church. You can also take a day trip to Somnath Temple, one of the most revered shrines of Lord Shiva, located about 80 km from Diu.
