7-Day Uttarkhand Adventure Itinerary for December 2023

  1. Day 1: Rishikesh
    45 minutes (18 miles) from Dehradun Airport

    Start your adventure trip with a morning yoga session followed by afternoon white water rafting in the Ganges and end your day with an evening Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat.

  2. Day 2: Auli

  3. Day 3: Joshimath

    Spend your morning exploring the town's ancient temples and shrines. Then, take an afternoon cable car ride to Auli and enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas. End your day with a hot cup of tea at the Narsingh Temple.

  4. Day 4: Lansdowne

    Take a morning trek to the snow-capped peaks of Snow Viewpoint and later visit the War Memorial and the Garhwal Rifles Regimental War Memorial Museum. End your day with a bonfire and stargazing at your hotel.

    Start your day with a morning trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Later, go on a jungle safari in Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy the scenic beauty of the forests. End your day with a campfire and barbeque dinner.

  6. Day 6: Mussoorie
    7 hours (120 miles) from Chopta

    Visit the Kempty Falls in the morning and enjoy swimming in the cool waters. Later, take a cable car ride to Gun Hill and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. End your day with a visit to the Mall Road and shop for souvenirs.

  7. Day 7: Haridwar
    3 hours (90 miles) from Mussoorie

    Start your day with a visit to Har Ki Pauri and a dip in the holy Ganges. Later, explore the Chandi Devi Temple and Mansa Devi Temple and end your day with a visit to the Rajaji National Park.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider taking a side trip to the Valley of Flowers National Park, especially if you're visiting in July or August.
