Family-Friendly 7-Day Vridhavan Itinerary in May 2024

  1. Day 1: Prem Mandir

    Attend the morning Aarti at the famous Banke Bihari Mandir, one of the oldest and most revered temples in Vrindavan. Get a taste of local street food and explore the surrounding markets for some souvenirs.

  3. Day 3: ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir
    15 minutes (3.7 miles) from Banke Bihari Mandir

    Attend the morning Aarti at the ISKCON temple and take part in the spiritual activities. Enjoy the delicious prasad and explore the temple complex and the adjacent goshala.

  4. Day 4: Radha Raman Temple
    15 minutes (3.5 miles) from ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir

    Attend the morning Aarti at the Radha Raman temple, which has a unique deity of Lord Krishna with His flute. Take a holy dip in the nearby Kunds and visit the nearby Seva Kunj and Nidhuban.

    Attend the morning Aarti at the ancient Madan Mohan temple, which dates back to 1580 AD. Take a stroll in the nearby gardens of Imli Tala and visit the nearby temples of Banke Bihari, Radha Damodar, and Jugal Kishore.

  6. Day 6: Kusum Sarovar and Govardhan Hill

    Visit the serene and picturesque Kusum Sarovar and take a holy dip in the waters. Then, head to the famous Govardhan Hill, which is believed to be the embodiment of Lord Krishna. You can also visit the nearby Manasi Ganga and Daan Ghati temples.

  7. Day 7: Radha Kund and Shyama Kund
    25 minutes (7.5 miles) from Kusum Sarovar

    Visit the holy Radha Kund and Shyama Kund, which are believed to be the sacred lakes formed by the tears of Radha and Krishna respectively. Take a dip in these holy waters and visit the nearby temples of Gopeshwar Mahadev and Kameshwar Mahadev.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit the nearby town of Mathura, which is the birthplace of Lord Krishna. You can also take a day trip to Agra to visit the iconic Taj Mahal. For maximizing your fun, try to attend the cultural programs and events that happen during the festive season of Janmashtami in August. Don't forget to try the local sweets and savories, such as peda, ghewar, and chaat, which are a speciality of the region.
