2-Day Foodie Itinerary in Mumbai for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Colaba
    30 minutes (8.3 miles) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

    Morning: Start your day with a visit to the iconic Leopold Cafe, known for its delicious breakfast options. Then head to the Sassoon Dock, one of the largest fish markets in Mumbai, where you can witness the bustling activity of early morning fishing and take a tour to learn about the seafood industry.

    Afternoon: For lunch, visit the legendary Britannia & Co. Restaurant for their famous Parsi cuisine. Afterward, head to the Gateway of India, an iconic landmark offering views of the Arabian Sea. From here, take a ferry to the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 5th century.

    Evening: After returning from Elephanta Caves, head to Bademiya for dinner, a famous open-air food stall serving delicious kebabs and other Indian street food.

  2. Day 2: Bandra
    20 minutes (5.6 miles) from Colaba

    Morning: Start your day with breakfast at the iconic Cafe Mondegar, known for its vintage decor and delicious pancakes. Then head to the Mount Mary Church, an iconic Catholic Basilica that attracts visitors from all over the world.

    Afternoon: For lunch, visit Lucky Biryani, a famous biryani joint in Bandra. Afterward, head to the Bandra Fort, a historical landmark offering stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. From here, visit the famous street shopping area of Linking Road, offering a variety of trendy clothes and accessories.

    Evening: End your day with dinner at Hakkasan, a Michelin-starred restaurant serving contemporary Cantonese cuisine.
