3-Day Nature Itinerary from Delhi to Kedarnath in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Guptkashi
    8 hours (221 km) from Delhi

    Start your day early and drive towards Guptkashi. On the way, stop by Devprayag to witness the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. Continue the scenic drive to reach Guptkashi by afternoon. Spend the morning admiring the lush greenery and listening to the peaceful sound of Mandakini river. After lunch, visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple and do not miss the evening aarti ceremony.

  2. Day 2: Kedarnath
    2 hours (41 km) from Guptkashi

    Take a helicopter ride to Kedarnath early in the morning and start your trek to the Kedarnath Temple. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas with its snow-capped peaks and glistening rivers. Spend your day trekking and exploring the Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Witness the evening aarti ceremony and enjoy a peaceful night in the lap of nature.

  3. Day 3: Rishikesh
    6 hours (185 km) from Kedarnath

    Start your day early and drive towards Rishikesh. On the way, stop by Rudraprayag to see the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Reach Rishikesh by afternoon and visit the iconic Lakshman Jhula, a hanging bridge over the river Ganges. In the evening, attend the Ganga aarti ceremony at Parmarth Niketan Ashram and end your trip on a spiritual note.

If you have an extra day, you can visit Badrinath Temple, located 160 km from Kedarnath. You can also try river rafting in Rishikesh or visit the Beatles Ashram to learn about their visit to India. To maximize your fun, wake up early and catch the sunrise over the Himalayas. Do not forget to carry comfortable shoes, warm clothes and a good camera to capture the breathtaking views.
