Family-Friendly Two-Day Itinerary in Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada
    20 minutes (6 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the 17th-century Portuguese fort that stands on the Sinquerim Beach. You can explore the massive fort, its lighthouse and the surrounding areas. The fort offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea. You can also visit the nearby Aguada jail. For lunch, you can head to one of the many restaurants nearby that serve delicious seafood. In the afternoon, you can visit Candolim Beach, which is 10 minutes away. Here, you can enjoy water sports or just relax on the beach. In the evening, you can head to Calangute Beach, which is known for its nightlife. You can enjoy dinner, live music and dance at one of the beachside restaurants.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 30 minutes (48 miles) from Fort Aguada

    In the morning, you can visit the Dudhsagar Falls, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. You can take a trek to the waterfall through the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. The trek is around 11km long, and it takes around 4 hours. You can also take a jeep safari if you don't want to trek. For lunch, you can have local Goan food at a restaurant near the falls. In the afternoon, you can head to the nearby spice plantation and take a guided tour of the plantation. You can learn about various spices, how they are grown, and their uses. In the evening, you can relax at your hotel or head to Panjim, the capital of Goa, and visit the Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Goa. You can explore the colorful buildings, art galleries, and cafes.
