3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Ujjain

  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga

    Start your day by visiting Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. Experience the morning aarti and take a dip in the holy Kshipra river.   2. Day 2: Sandipani Ashram

    Visit the Sandipani Ashram in the morning, a place where Lord Krishna and Sudama were educated by their Guru, Sandipani. In the afternoon, head to the Harsiddhi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. In the evening, visit the Ram Ghat to witness the grand aarti ceremony on the banks of the Shipra River.

  3. Day 3: Kalideh Palace and Observatory
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from Sandipani Ashram

    Start your day by visiting the Kalideh Palace and Observatory, a historical and astronomical monument. In the afternoon, visit the Bhartrihari Caves, a place where the famous poet Bhartrihari meditated. In the evening, explore the city's local bazaars and shop for traditional handicrafts and textiles.
