Relaxing 3-Day Itinerary for Atharpilly Waterfalls, Angalaparameshwari Temple, and Kanyakumari in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Atharpilly Waterfalls
    2 hours (40 miles) from Cochin Airport

    In the morning, we'll head to Atharpilly Waterfalls, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala. Located in the Sholayar forest ranges, the waterfall cascades down from a height of 80 feet. Afternoon will bring us to the spectacular Vazhachal Waterfalls, which is just a seven-minute drive from Atharpilly. In the evening, we can take a relaxing stroll through the Thumboormuzhy Dam and River Garden.

  2. Day 2: Angalaparameshwari Temple
    4 hours (170 miles) from Atharpilly Waterfalls

    In the morning, we'll visit the Angalaparameshwari Temple, which is one of the most ancient and significant temples in Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, and the architecture is a perfect blend of Hoysala and Dravidian styles. Later, we'll head to the nearby Kukke Subramanya Temple, which is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. In the afternoon, we can visit the Adi Subrahmanya Temple, which is also located nearby and has a unique architecture with intricate carvings. In the evening, we can take a walk around the temple town and enjoy the local cuisine.

  3. Day 3: Kanyakumari
    12 hours (470 miles) from Angalaparameshwari Temple

    In the morning, we'll start our journey to Kanyakumari, which is the southernmost tip of India and a unique confluence of the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean. We'll visit the Kanyakumari Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Devi Kanya Kumari. Next, we'll visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is built in honor of Swami Vivekananda, who meditated on the rock for two days. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, which is the tallest statue in Asia and is dedicated to the Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. In the evening, we can take a walk along the Kanyakumari beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
