Bali Honeymoon Itinerary - December 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Bali
    Ngurah Rai International Airport
    30 minutes (9.5 miles) from Kuta

    Welcome to Bali, the island of gods! After a long flight, you will be arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport. Once you have cleared the customs and collected your luggage, you can proceed to the arrivals hall and find your private transfer to your hotel in Kuta. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and acclimatizing to the tropical weather of Bali.

  2. Day 2: Temple Hopping
    Uluwatu Temple, Tanah Lot Temple, Taman Ayun Temple
    2 hours 20 minutes (53 miles) from Kuta

    Start your day early and visit the iconic Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. In the afternoon, head to Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali's most famous landmarks, built on a rock formation in the sea.     Take a speedboat from Sanur Harbor to Nusa Penida, a beautiful island with crystal-clear waters and stunning beaches. Visit Kelingking Beach, a hidden gem with breathtaking views of the turquoise ocean. End your day at Crystal Bay, a popular spot for snorkeling and diving, where you can swim with colorful fish and explore the coral reefs.

  4. Day 4: Ubud and Rice Terraces
    Ubud Monkey Forest, Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Tirta Empul Temple
    1 hour 30 minutes (24 miles) from Kuta

    Head to Ubud, a cultural and artistic hub of Bali. Visit the Ubud Monkey Forest, home to over 700 monkeys and several ancient temples. Next, visit the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take a stroll through the lush green paddy fields. Finally, visit Tirta Empul Temple, a beautiful water temple where locals go to cleanse themselves spiritually and physically.

  5. Day 5: Waterfall Day

    2 hours 30 minutes (44 miles) from Kuta to Tegenungan Waterfall, 2 hours (39 miles) from Tegenungan Waterfall to Gitgit Waterfall, 1 hour 10 minutes (17 miles) from Gitgit Waterfall to Sekumpul Waterfall

    Explore the stunning waterfalls of Bali. Start with Tegenungan Waterfall, a popular waterfall in Ubud that offers a refreshing dip in its clear waters. Next, head to Gitgit Waterfall, a picturesque waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Finally, visit Sekumpul Waterfall, considered by many to be the most beautiful waterfall in Bali, with its seven cascades nestled in a ravine.

  6. Day 6: Departure
    Ngurah Rai International Airport
    15 minutes (3 miles) from Kuta

    After a memorable honeymoon in Bali, it's time to say goodbye. Check out of your hotel and transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport for your flight back home.

Recommendations

If you have some extra time, consider taking a day trip to the Gili Islands or Mount Batur for a sunrise trek. You can also take a cooking class, a yoga class, or a spa treatment for a unique Balinese experience. Don't forget to try some of Bali's delicious local food, including nasi goreng, satay, and babi guling. Finally, make sure to buy some souvenirs, such as batik textiles, wood carvings, and silver jewelry, to bring back home.
