2-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh and Dehradun in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Laxman Jhula and Triveni Ghat
    30 minutes (14.1 km) from Jolly Grant Airport Dehradun

    In the morning, head to Laxman Jhula and take a walk across the suspension bridge to enjoy the serene view of the Ganges River. You can also visit the nearby temples. In the afternoon, visit Triveni Ghat to witness the evening Aarti ceremony. The Aarti ceremony is a ritual of offering prayers to the River Ganges. In the evening, explore the local bazaar for souvenir shopping and try the local street food.

  2. Day 2: Visit Robber's Cave and Tapkeshwar Temple
    25 minutes (9.5 km) from Rishikesh Railway Station

    Start the day by visiting Robber's Cave, a naturally formed cave where you can witness a magnificent waterfall. You can also take a dip in the cool water. In the afternoon, visit Tapkeshwar temple, a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated inside a natural cave with a river flowing by its side. In the evening, enjoy a scenic sunset view at the George Everest viewpoint, which is famous for its panoramic view of the Himalayas.
