In the morning, get ready for an exhilarating adventure in the treetops. Kauai Zipline offers an incredible experience that begins with a four-wheel-drive vehicle ride to the top of the mountain. Then, you'll zip through the air on eight different ziplines. After lunch, head to Kilauea Lighthouse, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and observe local wildlife. In the evening, unwind at Anini Beach with a beachside picnic.
Start the day by heading to Tunnels Beach, one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. You'll see an abundance of sea life, including green sea turtles, colorful fish, and maybe even a monk seal. In the afternoon, hike the Kalalau Trail for some of the best views of the Na Pali Coast. The trail is 11 miles round trip, but you can hike as far as you'd like before turning back. In the evening, dine on fresh seafood at Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant.
Start the day by kayaking on the Hanalei River. You'll marvel at the stunning scenery while paddling through lush tropical rainforest. If you're lucky, you'll spot some of the native birds and other wildlife that call this area home. In the afternoon, hike to Hanakapiai Falls, a beautiful 300-foot waterfall that cascades into a natural pool. The hike is 8 miles round trip and takes around 4-6 hours. In the evening, watch the sunset at Ke'e Beach.
Head to Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The views from the lookout points are absolutely breathtaking, and you'll have plenty of photo opportunities. Afterward, take a short hike to see the stunning Waipoo Falls. In the afternoon, visit the Kauai Coffee Company for a tour and tasting. Here, you'll learn about the history of coffee on Kauai and sample some of their delicious blends. In the evening, enjoy a sunset dinner at the Beach House Restaurant.
If you're looking for more adventure, consider taking a helicopter tour of the island to see all of Kauai's stunning landscapes from the air. If you have time, take a day trip to the nearby island of Niihau for a unique cultural experience. For a more relaxed pace, spend a day at Poipu Beach Park, where you can swim with sea turtles, snorkel, or simply relax on the beach. Don't forget to try some of the local Hawaiian cuisine, such as poi, poke, and shaved ice.
