Family Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for Dooars in November 2023

  1. Day 1: Gorumara National Park
    1 hour 30 minutes (45.7 km) from Bagdogra Airport

    In the morning, head to the Gorumara National Park, home to numerous flora and fauna such as Indian rhinoceros, Asian elephants, and Indian bison. Take a Jeep safari to explore the park and spot the wildlife. Gorumara National Park also offers a bird-watching tour, which is perfect for bird enthusiasts. In the afternoon, head to the park's watchtower to witness the breathtaking view of the Gorumara forest. Finish off the day with a campfire dinner under the stars.

  2. Day 2: Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 50 minutes (57.9 km) from Gorumara National Park

    Start off the day with a visit to the Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, leopards, and several species of deer. Take an elephant safari in the morning to explore the sanctuary. After that, head to the Totopara village to witness the lifestyle and culture of the Toto tribe. In the evening, visit the Chilapata Forest and the Buxa Tiger Reserve which houses many species of birds, animals, and reptiles.

  3. Day 3: Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary

    Head to the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary in the morning for an exotic jungle experience. The sanctuary is home to many species of deer, elephants, leopards, and birds. Take a guided trekking tour to explore the sanctuary's dense forests and spot the wildlife. After lunch, visit the Samsing Tea Garden to witness the tea-making process, and then head to the Suntalekhola waterfall to enjoy the view and the gushing sounds of water. Finish off the day with a bonfire dinner.
