4-Day Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    30 minutes (11.5 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    In the morning, visit the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, a beautiful white church located in the heart of Panaji. In the afternoon, explore the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, known for its colourful houses, winding streets and heritage homes. End the day with a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River.

  2. Day 2: Visit Old Goa and Ponda
    30 minutes (11.5 miles) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Then, head to the nearby Se Cathedral, which is one of the largest churches in Asia. In the afternoon, explore the temples of Ponda, including the Shri Manguesh temple and the Mahalaxmi temple. End the day with a visit to the Sahakari Spice Farm.

  3. Day 3: Beach Day in South Goa
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 miles) from Ponda

    Head to Colva Beach, one of the largest beaches in South Goa, famous for its white sand and palm trees. Spend the afternoon at Palolem Beach, a quieter beach known for its scenic beauty and water sports. End the day with a sunset at Cabo de Rama Fort, a 17th century fort with stunning views of the Arabian Sea.

  4. Day 4: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary
    2 hours (47 miles) from Palolem Beach

    In the morning, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India, located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. In the afternoon, head to the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including leopards, deer and monkeys. End the day with a visit to the Tambdi Surla temple, a 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Other local attractions to consider include the Fort Aguada, the Anjuna Flea Market and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. For a side trip, you can visit the Dudhsagar Spice Plantation or the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. To maximize your fun, try some of the water sports available at the beaches. As for suggestions, make sure to carry sunscreen, insect repellent and comfortable walking shoes. Also, try the local seafood and cashew feni, the traditional Goan drink.
