Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the Lotus Mahal, a stunning palace with a central dome and beautiful arches, the Hazara Rama Temple, which has intricately carved walls depicting scenes from the Ramayana, or the Achyutaraya Temple, another impressive structure that showcases the Vijayanagara architecture. For side trips, head to the nearby towns of Badami and Aihole for more temple explorations. Opt for a coracle boat ride on the Tungabhadra river for a more peaceful experience. Don't forget to try the local cuisine and street food, especially the bananas and coconut water!

To maximize your fun, travel with a group of friends and consider renting motorbikes or bicycles to explore the city at your own pace. Try to avoid visiting during peak tourist season, which is from December to February, to avoid crowds and inflated prices. Lastly, be respectful of local customs and traditions, especially when visiting religious sites.
