Two-Day Adventure Itinerary for Kollukumalai in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kollukumalai Tea Estate
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Munnar Town

    In the morning, you'll head to Kollukumalai Tea Estate, which is the highest tea estate in the world at 8,000 feet above sea level. The drive to the tea estate is an adventure in itself with winding roads and stunning views. In the afternoon, you can take a guided trek to Meesapulimala Peak, which is the second-highest peak in the Western Ghats. At night, you can enjoy a bonfire and stargazing at the estate.

  2. Day 2: Anamudi Peak
    1 hour 20 minutes (35 miles) from Kollukumalai Tea Estate

    In the morning, you'll drive to Anamudi Peak, which is the highest peak in South India at 8,842 feet above sea level. You'll need to obtain a permit from the Forest Department to enter Eravikulam National Park, where the peak is located. The trek to the summit takes around 4-5 hours and is a challenging but rewarding experience. In the afternoon, you can visit the nearby Lakkam Waterfalls and take a refreshing dip in the pool.

If you have more time, you can visit the nearby Top Station, which offers panoramic views of the Western Ghats and the valley below. You can also take a jeep safari to Kolukkumalai from Munnar Town.
