To enjoy the scenic beauty of Montenegro, you'll need to arrange ground transportation. We suggest hiring a car for your convenience. A comfortable SUV with a professional driver is around $400 for the 3-day trip. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, public buses are available, but can be time-consuming and infrequent in some areas.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Ostrog Monastery, which is an hour's drive from Durmitor National Park. Alternatively, you can add a day trip to Ada Bojana, a lovely island with a stunning beach, ideal for relaxing or engaging in water activities such as kayaking, kitesurfing, and windsurfing.
If you have less time, we suggest focusing on the attractions within close proximity to one another. You can drop the trip to Skadar Lake National Park and visit the Porto Montenegro Marina instead, where you can enjoy the stunning sea view and get some shopping done.
