Relaxing 3-Day Itinerary for Jammu in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Bahu Fort
    20 minutes (5.2 km) from Jammu Tawi Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the impressive Bahu Fort, located atop a hill overlooking the Tawi River. Enjoy the stunning views of the city from the fort and explore its beautiful gardens. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Raghunath Bazaar for some shopping and local street food. In the evening, attend the sound and light show at the fort, which depicts the history of the Dogra dynasty.

  2. Day 2: Mansar Lake and Surinsar Lake

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to Mansar Lake, a popular picnic spot surrounded by hills and dense forests. Take a boat ride on the lake or go for a nature walk around its perimeter. Aside from the places mentioned above, Jammu has plenty of other attractions worth visiting. If you have time, consider taking a day trip to the holy town of Katra, the base camp for the Vaishno Devi Temple. You can also visit the ancient ruins of the city of Akhnoor, located on the banks of the Chenab River.
