The Fukuoka Tower is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. You can take an elevator to the observatory deck and enjoy the panoramic view of Fukuoka City. There is a cafe and a gift shop at the top of the tower as well.
Ohori Park is a large park built around a man-made lake. There is a Japanese garden, a tea house, and a classical music hall inside the park. The park is a perfect place to relax and have a picnic with your family.

The Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is dedicated to the god of learning, Sugawara Michizane. The shrine is famous for its beautiful architecture and its plum trees. Your children will enjoy writing their wishes on wooden plaques and hanging them up at the shrine.
Marine World Uminonakamichi is an aquarium and amusement park combined. You can see dolphins, seals, and other marine animals perform shows. There are also fun rides and attractions like the Ferris wheel, a rollercoaster, and a water slide.

Fukuoka has an extensive public transportation system consisting of buses and subways. You can purchase a 1-day pass for ¥820, which allows you to use both buses and subways an unlimited amount of times within the given day. Taxis are also available but can be quite costly.
