3-Day Itinerary for Mount Abu in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Dilwara Jain Temples
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Nakki Lake

    In the morning, explore the exquisite Dilwara Jain Temples, known for their intricate marble carvings and stunning architecture. Spend the afternoon taking a leisurely stroll around Nakki Lake, surrounded by lush greenery and scenic views of the Aravalli Mountains. In the evening, head to Sunset Point to witness the beautiful sunset and enjoy some local street food.

  2. Day 2: Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary
    30 minutes (15 km) from Nakki Lake

    Start your day with a visit to the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a variety of flora and fauna including the Indian leopard, sloth bear and Indian civet. The sanctuary offers a range of trekking trails, so select one according to your preferences. In the afternoon, head to Guru Shikhar, the highest point in Rajasthan, and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. In the evening, head to Toad Rock, a famous rock formation resembling a toad, located near Nakki Lake.

  3. Day 3: Achalgarh Fort and Peace Park
    20 minutes (9 km) from Nakki Lake

    Begin your last day by exploring the Achalgarh Fort, an ancient fort built in the 14th century, and home to various temples and beautiful architecture. After Fort, visit the nearby Achalgarh Village and enjoy the local culture and traditions. In the afternoon, visit the Peace Park, a serene and tranquil place featuring beautiful gardens, waterfalls, and a meditation center. In the evening, head back to Nakki Lake and enjoy a boat ride on the lake.

Aside from the above mentioned attractions, you can also visit the Mount Abu Bazaar, a bustling market featuring local handicrafts and souvenirs. For a side trip, you can visit Udaipur, a beautiful city known for its stunning palaces and lakes, located 4 hours (165 km) away from Mount Abu. To maximize your fun, try the famous Rajasthani cuisine, including dal baati churma and laal maas. Lastly, do not forget to carry sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats as the weather can get quite hot and humid in June.
