Relaxing 2-Day Itinerary for Ujjain in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Temple
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Ujjain Junction Railway Station

    In the morning, head to Mahakaleshwar Temple, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. This ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known for its unique Bhasma Aarti, which is performed every morning.     20 minutes (5.2 km) from Mahakaleshwar Temple

    Start your day by visiting the Kal Bhairav Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. This temple is known for its unique architecture and is believed to be one of the oldest temples in Ujjain. After the temple visit, head to the nearby Chintaman Ganesh Temple, which is known for its beautiful carvings and architecture.
    In the afternoon, visit the Vedshala Observatory, which is one of the oldest observatories in India.
