Bachelor Party Weekend in Bodrum - July 2023

  1. Day 1: Bodrum Castle
10 minutes (3.2 km) from Bodrum city center

Start your weekend with a visit to the iconic Bodrum Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval landmarks in Europe. The castle was built in the 15th century by the Knights of St. John but was later repurposed as a prison during Ottoman rule. The castle now houses the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, which showcases artifacts from shipwrecks and ancient civilizations. Spend the morning exploring the castle's towers, courtyards, and dungeons. Afterward, grab lunch at the on-site cafe before heading out for an afternoon of watersports, including parasailing and jet skiing. In the evening, hit up one of Bodrum's hottest nightclubs, such as Halikarnas Disco or Catamaran.

  2. Day 2: Yalikavak Marina
30 minutes (18.2 km) from Bodrum City

Escape the crowds with a day trip to Yalikavak Marina, one of the most upscale marinas on the Aegean coast. Take a yacht charter and sail around the coves and beaches of the Bodrum peninsula, stopping for a swim or a seaside lunch at a local fish restaurant. In the afternoon, head back to the marina and explore the luxury boutiques, art galleries, and cafes. Don't miss the weekly Yalikavak Market on Thursdays, where you can buy locally-made handicrafts and souvenirs. Finish the day with a sunset drink at the iconic Billionaire Club.

  3. Day 3: Bitez Beach
20 minutes (7.8 km) from Bodrum City

Recover from last night's festivities with a relaxing day at Bitez Beach, a picturesque bay with clear waters and a pebble shoreline. Rent a beach umbrella and lounge chair and soak up the sun, or try your hand at windsurfing or paddleboarding. Grab lunch at one of the beachside cafes, which serve up fresh seafood and Turkish meze plates. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bodrum Windmills, a group of historic windmills that were once used to grind wheat. Finally, end your weekend with a sunset dinner at a rooftop restaurant in Bodrum city center, such as Marina Yacht Club or Mimoza.

Recommendations

For an adrenaline-filled experience, head to the nearby Turgutreis and go kitesurfing or paragliding. Alternatively, take a day trip to the nearby Greek island of Kos, which is just a short ferry ride away from Bodrum. Don't miss the local Turkish hammam experience, which involves a traditional steam bath and massage. If you're looking to maximize your fun, consider booking a private boat tour or hiring a personal photographer to capture your weekend memories. Finally, don't forget to sample the local Bodrum wine, which is made from the indigenous Okuzgozu grape variety.
