4-Day Itinerary for Goa in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Aguada Fort
    30 minutes (10.2km) from the airport

    Start your day by visiting the famous Fort Aguada. This historical fort was originally built to guard against enemy attacks from the sea. It's perched on a hilltop and offers spectacular views of the Arabian Sea. You can also explore the lighthouse and the prison within the fort. In the afternoon, head to Baga Beach to relax and soak up the sun. In the evening, enjoy a stroll along the beach and indulge in some delicious seafood at one of the many shacks.

  2. Day 2: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    20 minutes (9.6km) from Baga Beach

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Marvel at the stunning Baroque architecture and the intricate carvings. In the afternoon, take a relaxing walk through Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Panaji. This charming area is known for its colorful houses, narrow lanes, and quaint cafes. In the evening, head to the Tito's Lane in Baga to experience Goa's nightlife.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 10 minutes (70.3km) from Panaji

    Today, take a day trip to the majestic Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. You can either trek to the falls or take a jeep safari through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. Once you reach the falls, take a refreshing dip in the cool waters and enjoy a picnic lunch. In the evening, return to Panaji and explore the local markets for some souvenirs.

  4. Day 4: Anjuna Flea Market
    30 minutes (12.8km) from Panaji

    On your final day, head to the Anjuna Flea Market to shop for some unique handicrafts, jewelry, and clothes. The market is held every Wednesday and is a must-visit for shopaholics. In the afternoon, head to Vagator Beach to soak up the sun and enjoy the breathtaking sunset. In the evening, attend a concert at one of the many live music venues in Goa.
