Dakshina Kannada - 3 Day Nature Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Tannirbhavi Beach
    30 minutes (10.2 km) from Mangalore City

    Start your day at the Tannirbhavi Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Dakshina Kannada. Enjoy the cool breeze and the peaceful sound of waves. Take a refreshing dip in the sea and indulge in some water sports. Later, explore the nearby Tannirbhavi Park and the Mangaladevi Temple. In the evening, head to the Sunset Point, which is just a short walk away, to witness a beautiful sunset.

  2. Day 2: Kudremukh National Park
    3 hours (115 km) from Mangalore City

    Embark on a scenic drive to the Kudremukh National Park, known for its breathtaking landscapes, waterfalls, and wildlife. Take a guided trek to the Kudremukh Peak, which is the highest peak in the park and offers a stunning view of the surroundings. If you're lucky, you may spot some rare animal species like the Malabar giant squirrel and the lion-tailed macaque. Spend the night at one of the homestays in the area.

  3. Day 3: Agumbe
    3 hours 30 minutes (120 km) from Kudremukh National Park

    Drive to the picturesque hill station of Agumbe, also known as the "Cherrapunji of the South". Take a trek to the Koodlu Theertha Falls, which is located amidst lush green forests and is a popular spot for swimming. Later, visit the Agumbe Rainforest Research Station and learn about the flora and fauna of the region. In the evening, witness a mesmerizing sunset at the Sunset Point and spend the night at one of the homestays in the area.

If you have more time, consider visiting the St. Mary's Islands, which are a group of small islands located off the coast of Malpe Beach.
