3-Day Itinerary for Mangalore in November 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit to St. Aloysius Chapel
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Mangalore International Airport

    In the morning, visit the St. Aloysius Chapel built in the 19th century by Jesuit Missionaries. Admire the beautiful frescoes and oil paintings depicting the life of St. Aloysius Gonzaga. Have lunch at the nearby Red Rock Multi-Cuisine Restaurant. In the afternoon, drive to the Tannirbhavi Beach and enjoy the scenic beauty and sunset. Spend the evening shopping at the City Centre Mall.

  2. Day 2: Pilikula Nisargadhama
    23 minutes (15.4 km) from Mangalore city centre

    Start your day by visiting the Pilikula Nisargadhama, an eco-educational tourist park that sprawls across 370 acres of land. See the different species of animals and birds living in their natural habitats and visit the planetarium and science centre. Have lunch at the in-house restaurant and then head to Kadri Manjunath Temple, one of the oldest and most popular temples in the region. In the evening, catch a movie at PVR Cinemas, located in the Forum Fiza Mall.

  3. Day 3: Mangaladevi Temple
    18 minutes (3.2 km) from Mangalore Railway Station

    Begin the day by visiting the Mangaladevi Temple, a 9th-century temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Shakti. Explore the temple architecture and learn about the history and legends associated with it. Have lunch at Narayana Guru's Restaurant and then make your way to the Panambur Beach, famous for its pristine waters and golden sands. Spend the evening savouring the local cuisine at Gajalee Seafood Restaurant.

If you are interested in experiencing more of the local culture, visit the Bejai Museum, which houses a vast collection of ancient artefacts and sculptures. For a side trip, drive to the nearby Kudroli Gokarnath Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. To maximize your fun, try the water sports at the Sasihithlu Beach.
