3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Banasura in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Banasura Hill and Dam
    45 minutes (24.6 km) from Kalpetta

    In the morning, visit the Banasura Hill and Dam which offers a spectacular view of the Banasura Sagar reservoir. You can take a speedboat ride on the reservoir and enjoy the scenic beauty. In the afternoon, visit the Meenmutty Falls, which is a three-tiered waterfall located deep in the forest. It’s a bit of a trek, but the views are worth it. In the evening, head to the Karapuzha Dam, another famous dam in the area, where you can enjoy boating and take in the panoramic views of the Western Ghats.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
    1 hour 15 minutes (29.3 km) from Kalpetta

    Start your day early and head to the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad. It’s a moderate trek, and once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. In the afternoon, visit the Edakkal Caves, which are two natural caves that have ancient rock carvings and inscriptions.
