Two-Day Adventure Itinerary for Nainital in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Tiffin Top
    20 minutes (4.3 miles) from Nainital

    Located at a height of 7,444 feet, Tiffin Top offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and Nainital. Start your morning early with a hike to the top for sunrise and enjoy a picnic breakfast. In the afternoon, head to Nainital Lake for some kayaking or paddle boating. Take a break and relax at the lakeside cafes. In the evening, visit the Naina Devi Temple, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Naina Devi.

  2. Day 2: Naini Peak
    30 minutes (6.2 miles) from Nainital

    The highest peak in Nainital, Naini Peak offers panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains. Start your day with a trek to the peak and enjoy a packed breakfast on the way. In the afternoon, head to the Eco Cave Gardens for some caving and exploration. End your day with a visit to the Snow View Point for stunning sunset views of the Himalayas.

Recommendations

If you're looking for more adventure, consider bungee jumping or paragliding in Bhimtal. A visit to the Kainchi Dham, a spiritual ashram, can also be a peaceful detour. You can also take a day trip to the Jim Corbett National Park and try to spot some tigers. Don't forget to try the local Kumaoni cuisine, especially the Bhatt ki Churkani and Gahat ki Dal.
