3-Day City Experience Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    30 minutes (14.6 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Immaculate Conception Church, one of the oldest churches of Goa. Afterward, head to the Museum of Goa, which houses contemporary art from local as well as international artists. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk around the charming Latin Quarter, Fontainhas, filled with colorful houses and winding streets. Later, visit the famous Mahalaxmi Temple for its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings. End the day with dinner at Mum's Kitchen, serving authentic Goan cuisine with a modern twist.

  2. Day 2: Visit Old Goa and the Beaches
    40 minutes (18.3 km) from Panaji

    Start the day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at its baroque architecture. Move on to the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia, and then visit the nearby Archaelogical Museum. After lunch, head to the Miramar Beach for some relaxing beach time and catch the sunset over the Arabian Sea. For dinner, head to Souza Lobo, a beachfront restaurant that serves delicious seafood and Goan cuisine.

  3. Day 3: Explore Mapusa and its surroundings
    30 minutes (15.5 km) from Panaji

    Start the day by visiting the Mapusa Friday Market, where you can shop for souvenirs, spices, and fresh produce. Afterward, visit the St. Jerome Church, a beautiful example of Baroque architecture. In the afternoon, head to the Mayem Lake for some boating and sightseeing. On the way back, visit the Corjuem Fort, an old Portuguese fort with stunning views of the surrounding areas. End the day with dinner at Vinayak Family Restaurant, known for its delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis.

Don't miss out on experiencing the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, located about 60 km from Panaji. You can also take a day trip to visit the Anjuna Flea Market, held every Wednesday, and the Arvalem Caves, located about 30 km from Panaji. To maximize your fun, try a sunset cruise on the Mandovi River or a hot air balloon ride over the Goan coastline. You can also consider taking a cooking class to learn how to make authentic Goan dishes.
