Adventure trip from Bangalore to Taj Mahal & Mathura

  1. Day 1: Bangalore to Ramanagara

    In the morning, we will drive to Ramanagara, a popular rock climbing destination. The hills here were featured in the Bollywood movie, Sholay and offer a thrilling rock climbing experience. After lunch, we will head to the Silk Cocoon Market, where you can learn about silk production and buy some souvenirs. In the evening, we will take a stroll at the peaceful Kunti Betta hill and enjoy the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Ramanagara to Agra
    3 hr 25 min flight from Bangalore to Delhi + 4 hr 15 min (233 km) from Delhi to Agra

    We will take a flight from Bangalore to Delhi in the morning and then drive to Agra, where we will visit the iconic Taj Mahal. The morning sunrise or the evening sunset view of the ivory-white marble mausoleum will leave you mesmerized. After lunch, we will visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the stunning architecture of the Mughal era. In the evening, we will take a walk along the Yamuna river and enjoy the local street food.

  3. Day 3: Mathura
    1 hr 20 min (58 km) from Agra

    In the morning, we will drive to Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. We will visit the famous Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, where Lord Krishna was born and the Dwarkadheesh Temple, where we can witness the grandeur of Lord Krishna's deity. After lunch, we will head to the Mathura Museum to see the rich heritage and culture of the city. In the evening, we will attend the mesmerizing Ganga aarti at Vishram Ghat and enjoy the serene ambiance.

Recommendations

If you have some extra time, you can visit Fatehpur Sikri, a ghost town with stunning Mughal architecture on the way from Agra to Mathura. You may also want to try the famous Petha sweets of Agra and shop for handicrafts in Mathura. To maximize your fun, try some traditional games at Mathura's Holi Gate or take a boat ride in the Yamuna river.
