A 5-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Old Goa
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Goa and explore the beautiful churches and cathedrals. Start off at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, home to the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier. Head to the Sé Cathedral, the largest church in Asia, and marvel at its stunning architecture. End the day with a visit to the Church of St Francis of Assisi, known for its Baroque architecture and beautiful paintings.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls and Spice Plantation
    1 hour 30 minutes (60 km) from Old Goa

    Start the day with a visit to the Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Enjoy a dip in the refreshing waters before heading to a nearby spice plantation. Learn about the different spices and herbs grown in the region and enjoy a delicious Goan lunch. End the day with a relaxing Ayurvedic massage.

  3. Day 3: Beach Day at Calangute
    1 hour (17 km) from Old Goa

    Spend the day at Calangute Beach, known for its stunning white sands and crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a variety of water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides. There are also plenty of beach shacks and restaurants where you can enjoy some delicious seafood. End the day with a stunning sunset at the beach.

  4. Day 4: Fontainhas and Panaji Market
    20 minutes (6 km) from Calangute Beach

    Explore the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas, known for its colourful Portuguese-style houses and winding streets. Take a walking tour of the area and visit the beautiful Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount. Afterward, head to the bustling Panaji Market, where you can find a variety of souvenirs, spices, and handcrafted items. End the day with a sunset river cruise along the Mandovi River.

  5. Day 5: Aguada Fort and Anjuna Flea Market
    30 minutes (10 km) from Fontainhas

    Start the day with a visit to the historic Aguada Fort, built by the Portuguese in the 17th century. Take in the stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River. Afterward, head to the famous Anjuna Flea Market, where you can find a variety of unique handmade items, jewelry, and clothing. End the day with a farewell dinner at a traditional Goan restaurant.
