2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Bhadra Tiger Reserve in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary
    Located within Bhadra Tiger Reserve
    30 minutes (18.6 miles) from Bhadra Tiger Reserve entrance

    In the morning, take a guided trek through the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including tigers, elephants, leopards, and sloth bears. In the afternoon, go on a jeep safari to explore the sanctuary further and spot some of the wildlife. As the day comes to an end, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the reservoir and watch the sunset over the stunning landscape.

  2. Day 2: Kudremukh National Park
    2 hours (74.5 miles) from Bhadra Tiger Reserve entrance

    In the morning, head to Kudremukh National Park for a challenging trek up Kudremukh Peak, the third-highest peak in Karnataka. The trek takes around 6 hours, but the stunning views at the top are worth it. In the afternoon, explore the national park on a jeep safari to spot some of the diverse wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and elephants. As the day comes to an end, unwind by the nearby waterfalls and take a refreshing dip in the cool waters.

Recommendations

If you're interested in more adventure activities, consider river rafting on the Bhadra River or going on a mountain biking tour. For a more relaxed experience, visit the nearby coffee plantations and learn about the coffee-making process. If you have extra time, a visit to the nearby Sharavathi Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is definitely worth it.
