3-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Afterwards, head to the nearby Museum of Christian Art to explore the artwork and artifacts from the Portuguese colonial era. Have lunch at the nearby Vinayak Family Restaurant for some authentic Goan cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the tropical spice plantation, Sahakari Spice Farm, and take a guided tour to learn about the different spices grown there. End the day with a relaxing visit to the Anjuna Beach to watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 15 minutes (75 km) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, hit the road to Dudhsagar Falls, one of India's tallest waterfalls. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. Once you arrive, take a refreshing dip in the cool waters and take in the stunning views. Grab a quick lunch at the nearby dhaba, and then visit the nearby Tambdi Surla Temple, the oldest surviving Hindu temple in Goa. In the evening, head back to your hotel to relax and unwind.

  3. Day 3: Fort Aguada and Baga Beach
    30 minutes (17 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

    In the morning, visit Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort that offers gorgeous views of the Arabian Sea. After touring the fort, spend some time at the nearby Sinquerim Beach. Have lunch at one of the beachside shacks and try some fresh seafood. In the afternoon, head to Baga Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa, and enjoy some water activities like jet skiing and parasailing. End the day with a lovely sunset view at the nearby Curlies Beach Shack.

Other places to visit in Goa include the Churches and Convents of Old Goa, the Fontainhas Heritage Walk, and the Reis Magos Fort. You can also take a day trip to the nearby spice farms in Ponda or the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary in Chorao Island. To maximize your fun, make sure to try some of the local drinks like feni and urak, and attend a live music or dance performance at a local bar or club.
