3-Day Itinerary for Mahabaleshwar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Arthur's Seat
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Mahabaleshwar Bus Station

    In the morning, visit Arthur's Seat, a popular viewpoint that offers a stunning panoramic view of the lush greenery of Mahabaleshwar. Afternoon, visit Venna Lake, go boating, or enjoy local street food. In the evening, take a stroll at Old Mahabaleshwar and explore the ancient temples such as Mahabaleshwar Temple and Panch Ganga Temple.

  2. Day 2: Lingmala Waterfall
    30 minutes (12 km) from Arthur's Seat

    Start your day with a visit to Lingmala Waterfall, a scenic waterfall surrounded by greenery. Go for a trek to the waterfall and enjoy the natural beauty. In the afternoon, visit Mapro Garden, sample fresh strawberries, and enjoy delicious ice-creams. In the evening, visit Elephant's Head Point, another viewpoint that offers a magnificent view of the Sahyadri mountain range.

In the afternoon, visit Table Land, Asia's second-longest mountain plateau, and enjoy horse riding or paragliding. In the evening, visit Tapola Lake, also known as the mini Kashmir of Maharashtra, and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, you can visit Wilson Point, the highest point in Mahabaleshwar. You can also go for a trek to Connaught Peak or visit the Bhilar Waterfalls. To maximize your fun, you can rent a bike or car and explore the scenic routes around Mahabaleshwar.

For a side trip, you can visit the hill station of Panchgani, which is just 18 km from Mahabaleshwar. You can also visit the ancient city of Satara, which is around 50 km from Mahabaleshwar.
