Two-Day Itinerary from Bengaluru to Coorg in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Madikeri Town
    5 hours (268 km) from Bengaluru

    Start your day with a visit to Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with captivating views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Afterward, head to Madikeri Fort, a historical landmark built-in 1681 by Muddu Raja. Stop by the Omkareshwara Temple, a unique blend of Islamic and Gothic styles of architecture featuring a central golden dome, four turrets, and a water tank. In the evening, visit the Abbey Falls, a stunning waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.

  2. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour 30 minutes (43 km) from Madikeri Town

    Get up close and personal with the gentle giants of Dubare Elephant Camp. You can feed the elephants, take a ride on them, and learn about their daily routines. Take a stroll in the nearby Dubare Reserve Forest, home to various species of birds, reptiles, and mammals. End your day with a visit to the beautiful Nisargadhama Island, a picturesque forest-covered island surrounded by the Cauvery River.
