A 3-Day Itinerary for Goa in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Panaji City
    30 minutes (12 miles) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, take a leisurely walk in the Fontainhas quarter of the city, admiring the Portuguese-style colorful houses. Afternoon, visit the famous Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, known for its striking architecture and stunning views of the city. In the evening, head to the Miramar Beach, which is ideal for taking a stroll and watching a beautiful sunset.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls and Old Goa
    2 hours (46 miles) from Panaji City

    In the morning, visit the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing dip in the cool waters surrounded by lush greenery. After lunch, head to Old Goa, which is famous for its beautiful churches and cathedrals. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. In the evening, take a relaxing walk along the Mandovi riverfront.

  3. Day 3: Baga Beach and Aguada Fort
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Panaji City

    Start your day by visiting the Baga Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa. Enjoy several water sports, including parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides. Afternoon, head to the Aguada Fort, a 17th-century Portuguese fort with stunning views of the Arabian Sea. In the evening, enjoy the nightlife at Tito's Lane, which has several bars and clubs.

Make sure to try some authentic Goan cuisine, such as fish curry and rice, prawn vindaloo, and pork sorpotel. If you have time, take a day trip to the beautiful beaches of South Goa, such as Palolem and Colva. You can also take a spice plantation tour or visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary.
