2-Day Kerala Hillstations Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Munnar
    3 hours 30 minutes (80 miles) from Cochin International Airport

    In the morning, ride to the Mattupetty Dam and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding hills and tea plantations. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea in Kerala and sample a variety of teas. End your day with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.

  2. Day 2: Wayanad
    6 hours (165 miles) from Munnar

    Start your day with a ride to Soochipara Falls and take a refreshing dip in the cool waters. In the afternoon, visit the Edakkal Caves and explore the prehistoric rock art. End your day with a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India, to watch the sunset over the tranquil waters.

In addition to the above itinerary, consider visiting the Top Station in Munnar for breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. You may also take a detour to the Kozhikode Beach on your way to Wayanad for some seafood and relaxation. To maximise your fun, rent a motorcycle with a GPS system, carry a backup battery and a puncture repair kit. Carrying a raincoat is also advisable in case of unexpected showers. Be sure to stop by local stores in Munnar to purchase Kerala tea, spices and handicrafts as souvenirs.
