4-Day Chennai to Wayanad Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Chennai to Wayanad

    After arriving in Wayanad, spend the morning exploring the Edakkal Caves, an ancient site that features fascinating cave paintings. In the afternoon, take a stroll through the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to many different species of animals and plants.   2. Day 2: Kuruva Island and Thirunelli Temple

After lunch, head over to Pookode Lake, a serene freshwater lake surrounded by lush green forests. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the lake or simply relax on the lakeshore.   4. Day 4: Wayanad to Chennai
    7 hours 30 minutes (312 km) from Pookode Lake

    Spend your morning at the Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall that cascades down from the Western Ghats. The afternoon can be spent exploring the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to several endangered species of animals. In the evening, drive back to Chennai.
