7-Day Char Dham Itinerary from Bangalore

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Dehradun
    Flight from Bangalore to Dehradun
    Drive to Haridwar (30 minutes, 22 km)

    Upon arrival in Dehradun, drive to Haridwar, the gateway to Char Dham. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri Ghat.

  2. Day 2: Yamunotri
    Drive from Haridwar to Janki Chatti (7 hours, 220 km)
    Pony ride from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri (6 km)

    Early morning, drive to Janki Chatti and then enjoy a pony ride to Yamunotri, the source of river Yamuna. Take a dip in the hot water springs and visit the Yamunotri Temple.

  3. Day 3: Gangotri
    Drive from Janki Chatti to Gangotri (8 hours, 220 km)

    Drive to Gangotri, the source of river Ganga. Visit the Gangotri Temple and take a dip in the holy Ganges river.

  4. Day 4: Kedarnath
    Drive from Gangotri to Sonprayag (11 hours, 250 km)
    Trek from Sonprayag to Kedarnath (16 km)

    Drive to Sonprayag and then trek to Kedarnath, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Visit the Kedarnath Temple and enjoy the beautiful Himalayan scenery.

  5. Day 5: Badrinath
    Trek from Kedarnath to Sonprayag (16 km)
    Drive from Sonprayag to Badrinath (6 hours, 155 km)

    Trek back to Sonprayag and then drive to Badrinath, one of the most sacred Hindu shrines. Visit the Badrinath Temple and take a dip in the Tapt Kund hot water springs.

  6. Day 6: Mana and Auli
    Drive from Badrinath to Mana (1 hour, 3 km)
    Drive from Mana to Auli (2 hours, 80 km)

    Visit Mana, the last Indian village before the Tibet border. Drive to Auli, a popular skiing destination with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Enjoy the cable car ride and visit the artificial lake.

  7. Day 7: Return to Dehradun
    Drive from Auli to Dehradun (9 hours, 300 km)
    Flight from Dehradun to Bangalore

    Drive back to Dehradun for your flight back to Bangalore. Take back memories of a lifetime.

Recommendations

Explore Rishikesh, the yoga capital of the world, before or after your Char Dham yatra. You can also visit the Rajaji National Park or go bungee jumping in Rishikesh. Consider planning your trip in the shoulder season (May-June or September-October) to avoid the crowds.
