Two-Day Mantralayam Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mantralayam Temple
    5 minutes (1.2 km) from Mantralayam Road Railway Station

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the Mantralayam Temple dedicated to Guru Raghavendra Swamy. The temple is a peaceful and serene place where you can seek blessings and spend some time in meditation. Don't miss the daily abhishekam and aarti.

    Afternoon: Head to Panchamukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple, an ancient temple with a beautiful idol of Lord Hanuman. The temple also has a huge statue of Lord Ganesha at the entrance. The temple is a must-visit for its spiritual significance and stunning architecture.

    Evening: Spend your evening at the Tungabhadra River, which flows through Mantralayam. You can take a dip in the holy river and enjoy the scenic beauty. You can also go on a boat ride to explore the river and its surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Alampur
    45 minutes (25 km) from Mantralayam

    Morning: Start your day by visiting Alampur, a scenic town known for its ancient temples. Visit the Jogulamba Temple, dedicated to Goddess Jogulamba, one of the 18 Shakti Peethas in India. The temple has a unique architecture and is surrounded by a beautiful garden.

    Afternoon: Visit the Navabrahma Temple, a group of nine temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Each temple has a unique architecture and is associated with a specific planet. The temples have intricate carvings and are a treat for architecture lovers.

    Evening: Spend your evening visiting the Gandikota Fort, also known as the Grand Canyon of India. The fort is located on the bank of the Penna River and offers a breathtaking view of the canyons. You can also visit the nearby Belum Caves, the longest natural caves in India.
