Two-Day Itinerary for Labakh in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Old City

    Start your day at the heart of Labakh - the Old City. Walk through its narrow alleys and admire the beautiful architecture of the ancient buildings. Visit the Old City Bazaar, where you can find traditional handicrafts, spices, and souvenirs. In the morning, stop by the Al Mamoun Mosque to witness the beautiful sunrise while listening to the call of prayer. In the afternoon, visit the Hammam Al-Basha – it is a traditional Turkish bathhouse that was built in the 18th century and was used by the Turkish Pashas. In the evening, relax and enjoy a cup of mint tea while watching the sunset over the city from the rooftop of a nearby café.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Natural Wonders
    30 minutes (12 miles) from Old City

    Take a day trip to the nearby Qadisha Valley, one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Lebanon. Start your day with a hike in the Qadisha Grotto, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its beautiful caves and rock formations. After your hike, head to the Monastery of Qozhaya, a historic monastery that was built in the 12th century. Enjoy a traditional Lebanese lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Tannourine Cedar Forest Nature Reserve, where you can see the famous Tannourine Cedars, some of which are more than 1,000 years old. In the evening, head back to Labakh and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the city's best restaurants.
