City Experiences: Chennai to Delhi in December 2023

  1. Day 1: Chennai – Marina Beach
    30 minutes (9.4 km) from Chennai International Airport

    Begin your trip with a visit to the world's second-longest beach, Marina Beach. Watch the sunrise over the Bay of Bengal and enjoy the cool breeze. Spend the morning at the beach, take a stroll along the promenade and try some local street food.     Start your day by visiting Fort St. George, the first British fortress in India, and explore its museum to learn about the history of Chennai and the British East India Company. After lunch, head to the Government Museum, the second oldest museum in India, to see its extensive collection of artefacts, paintings, and sculptures. In the evening, visit the Santhome Cathedral Basilica, a Catholic minor basilica, and attend a mass.

  3. Day 3: Jaipur – Hawa Mahal

    Take an early morning flight from Chennai to Jaipur. After checking into your hotel, head to the Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, for a photo opportunity. Spend the afternoon at the City Palace, a palace complex that houses museums, courtyards, and gardens. After lunch, visit the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, and climb its minaret for a panoramic view of Old Delhi. In the evening, explore the Chandni Chowk market, one of the busiest and oldest markets in Delhi, and try some local street food.
