Four Days in Family-Friendly Jaipur in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Amer Fort

  4. Day 4: Albert Hall Museum
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Jantar Mantar

    In the morning, visit the Albert Hall Museum, housed in a stunning sandstone building from the 19th century. The museum features a vast collection of art, artefacts, and curiosities, including sculptures, paintings, textiles, and weapons. Afternoon, explore the Jaipur Zoo, home to a variety of exotic animals, including tigers, leopards, and Himalayan black bears. In the evening, catch a Bollywood movie at the Raj Mandir Cinema, a stunning Art Deco theatre that's a favourite among locals.

If you have more time, consider visiting the Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, or the Nahargarh Fort, which offers breathtaking views of the city. You could also take a day trip to the nearby town of Ajmer to visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a famous Sufi shrine, or to the ancient city of Pushkar, known for its temples and camel fair. To maximize your fun, try taking a cooking class to learn how to prepare local dishes or sign up for a guided walking tour to discover hidden gems and local legends. Lastly, don't forget to sample some of Jaipur's famous street food, such as kachori, samosa, and lassi.
