Mangalore and Honavara 3-Day Itinerary for October 2023

  1. Day 1: Mangalore Beaches and Temples

    Start your day early and head to Udupi for Sri Krishna Temple, one of the most famous temples in South India. The temple is known for its unique architecture and is believed to be more than 1,500 years old. After the temple visit, head to Malpe Beach, a scenic beach with picturesque views. The beach is known for its water sports activities, such as parasailing and jet skiing. Take a dip in the water or enjoy a relaxing walk along the shore. End the day with a beautiful sunset and a seafood dinner at one of the local restaurants in Malpe.

  3. Day 3: Honavara and Jog Falls
    1 hour 30 minutes (80km) from Udupi and Malpe Beach

    Start your last day in Honavara with a visit to Honavara Fort, a 16th-century fort built by the Portuguese. The fort offers a beautiful view of the Arabian Sea and the river. After the visit, head to Jog Falls, the second-highest waterfall in India. The drive is scenic and the views of the waterfall are breathtaking. Spend some time at the falls, taking pictures and enjoying the view. If time permits, visit the Linganamakki Dam, located near Jog Falls. End your day with a dinner at one of the local restaurants in Honavara.
