3-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Goa in March 2024

  1. Day 1: Explore Panaji
    20 minutes (7.1 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, head to the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas and explore the quaint and colorful Portuguese-style buildings. Then, visit the Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, one of the most famous landmarks in Panaji. In the afternoon, grab a bite to eat at one of the many food shacks in Miramar Beach and enjoy the sea breeze. In the evening, stroll through the Municipal Garden, where you can spot peacocks and enjoy the musical fountain show.

  2. Day 2: Discover South Goa
    1 hour and 15 minutes (40.6 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Goa. Next, head to the Mangeshi Temple, where you can explore the beautiful architecture and learn about Hindu culture. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive to Palolem Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in South Goa. Here, you can relax on the golden sands or take a dip in the turquoise waters. In the evening, visit the Cabo de Rama Fort, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding landscape.

  3. Day 3: North Goa
    1 hour (21.7 km) from Panaji

    In the morning, visit the Aguada Fort, a 17th-century Portuguese fort that sits atop a hill overlooking the Arabian Sea. Then, head to the Anjuna Flea Market, where you can find everything from handmade crafts to vintage clothing. In the afternoon, enjoy a swim at the Baga Beach, one of the most popular beaches in North Goa. In the evening, visit the Fort Aguada Beach Resort, where you can enjoy a drink and watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea.
