Planina Cave is an underground cave system, carved by the Pivka River over millions of years. A 1.3 km long cave system will impress nature and photography lovers with its incredible and diverse sinter formations.

A traditional wooden boat, called Pletna, takes passengers to the tiny island in the middle of Lake Bled. The island is home to the picturesque Assumption of Mary Church and the fountain where visitors can make a wish by ringing the bell.
To get to these destinations, it is best to rent a car as they are scattered around the region. Oftentimes, public transportation is limited or unavailable. Keep in mind that parking might differ in rates in popular tourist destinations such as Bled Castle.
If you have extra time, Vintgar Gorge and Radovljica could be added to the itinerary. Vintgar Gorge, 30 minutes from Bled Castle, is a nature reserve that offers a beautiful scenic walkway through a narrow gorge with green alpine water. Radovljica, a 15-minute drive from Bled Castle, is a charming medieval town known for its beekeeping museum and festival.
